A lot of our graduate students share the same fears when returning to school. We have a list of the most common questions graduates ask themselves before going back.

What if I don't have enough time?

The best part of online is it's flexibility. You won't need to be in a classroom at a set time, but you will need to set aside time each week to do your courses. Most of our online students work while earning their degree. Planning your study times in advance relieves the pressure of wondering when you'll have time to study and helps you figure out what course load you are able to take on.

What if I don't understand the course material?

You do have an advantage this time around of having some background information from earning your degree or real life experience. Remember your number one resource for learning is the professor! Southeast's professors have set office hours to help students. Can't meet during those times? You can always email your professor your questions.

What if something happens and I can't complete homework?

When at all possible work ahead on assignments. This gives you some wiggle room when unexpected problems come up. Even when you do your best to plan, life happens. What's important is that you let your professor know what's going on. If you are unable to complete coursework because of a family emergency or illness they will likely work with you to make sure you don't fall behind.
